A Lemonade Smellephant Has Arrived in Storybook Circus!
If you are a frequent reader of MickeyBlog, then you know that we have been closely following the development of Smellephants on Parade at the Magic Kingdom.
Located in Storybook Circus, the upcoming interactive experience will be a “search and sniff” adventure throughout the mini-land.
Originally announced last year, Smellephants on Parade will see guests cast in the role of “Whiff-assistants” and give them the task of finding all eight Smellephant statues scattered around Storybook Circus.
While we still don’t have an opening date for the new experience, over the last couple of weeks, we have seen more and more Smellephants arrive in Storybook Circus.
Smellephants on Parade
First, a Popcorn Smellephant appeared in front of Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
He was joined early last week by a Snowcone Smellephant and a Caramel Apple Smellephant. Then, last Thursday, a Corn Dog Smellephant and a Cotton Candy Smellephant arrived at Storybok Circus.
In total, that meant that five of the eight Smellephants were in a position for the new experience.
Well, I am happy to announce that the elusive sixth Smellephant has been installed, and as you would expect, he looks amazing!
A Lemonade Smellephant
The latest pachyderm to join the procession is a Lemonade Smellephant.
Armed with a pair of cymbals, the Lemonade Smellephant can be found near the Casey Jr. Splash ‘n’ Soak Station.
The top of the Smellephant is light blue, while the pachyderm’s torso looks like it is made of lemonade.
If you look closely, you can see that in addition to lemonade slices, the Lemonade Smellephant also has some ice cubes floating around.
The latest Smellephant looks awfully happy as he marches ahead with his cymbals.
Here is another look at the new statue.
With the arrival of the Lemonade Smellephant, we are only awaiting the arrival of two more pachyderm!
A Door For Timothy Mouse
Before we leave Storybook Circus, I want to turn your attention back to the new ticket booth that recently arrived in front of Big Top Souvenirs.
The kiosk will serve as the launching point for Smellephants on Parade. If you look closely at the new ticket booth, you can spot a small door on the side!
That entrance is for none other than Timothy Mouse, who is the one tasking guests with finding the Smellephants.
I, for one, can’t wait for this new experience to open!
