What’s Worth It (& What’s Not) at Fleur de Lys for EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival
We’re at the opening day of the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival bringing you a first look at all of the fun activities, entertainment, and more!
My favorite part of these festivals is definitely the food, and now it’s time to check out what’s going on over in a pavilion known for its fancy cuisine.
Fleur de Lys
The Fleur de Lys booth is located in the France Pavilion. This is usually a pretty popular spot, so don’t be surprised if there’s a bit of a line to order!
There are both new and returning items on the menu this year. Here’s everything available:
First up, we got the new Parmentier de Canard A L’Orange. This is pulled duck confit with orange sauce and garlic-rosemary mashed potatoes for $7.95.
This was just alright. Overall, it was pretty bland, especially the mashed potatoes. It could definitely have used more seasoning!
Next, we grabbed the returning Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes et Ail Rôtie. This is a croissant with goat cheese, herbs, and roasted garlic for $6.95.
This was very soft and light, we could tell it was pretty fresh! The goat cheese inside is delicious paired with the garlic and herbs.
Moving on to desserts, we tried out the new Gâteau au Crémeux Citron, Lavende et Thym, Compote de Fruits Rouges. This is a warm cake filled with lemon, lavender, and thyme-infused cream served with berry compote for $6.95.
This was our favorite item of the entire booth! The berry compote went so well with all of the other flavors making it absolutely delicious.
There is also the returning Beignet Caramélisé, Fourré Crème Vanille, Glacé au Caramel Fleur de Sel. This is a caramelized beignet filled with vanilla cream and glazed with caramel fleur de sel for $6.50.
This beignet was light and fluffy and the brûlée on top was a great contrast to the soft cream inside.
As for drinks, all of the options here are returning except for the new Jean Bojour Val de Loire: Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley for $7. The other options include the Kronenbourg Blanc 1664, which is a fruity white beer with citrus notes for $5.50 (6 oz) or $9.95 (12 oz).
The cocktails here include the Sparkling Raspberry Cocktail, which is sparkling wine with raspberry flavor for $6.50, and the popular La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush. This is vodka, Grey Goose L’Orange, St. Germain Liqueur, and white and red cranberry juices for $14.50.
Overall, we’d recommend this booth for all of the food items except the duck — that one was a skip! But, if you want delicious French pastries and desserts, this is a great spot to get them.
