You’ll Never Regret Booking a Value Resort
You’ll never regret booking a Value tier resort at Walt Disney World. There, I said it.
For whatever reason, some Disney fans turn up their noses at the Value tier, incorrectly believing that they’re lesser hotels.
Friends, Disney doesn’t build lesser hotels. They’re all monuments to the greatness of immersive theming.

So, let’s talk about all the reasons a Value tier resort will make for the perfect home away from home during a magical vacation.
The Theming

One of the most frequent complaints I hear about Value tier resorts is that they’re cookie-cutter in style.
First, I’m not sure why this is a bad thing per se.
Home builders will be the first to tell you that cookie-cutter design is a good thing.

When a construction crew possesses plenty of familiarity and experience with a design, they’re less likely to make mistakes.
Still, even if cookie-cutter styles bother you, that statement misses the forest for the trees at Walt Disney World.
Sure, the All-Star resorts employ the same general infrastructure and design.

However, Disney has provided each location with a distinct identity, one you can deduce from any location on the campus.
For instance, the sports references at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort are unmistakable.
The same statement applies to the musical theming at Disney’s All-Star Music.

At Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, the hotel lobbies are unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
One will transport you back in time to different toys and games from your childhood.
The other will show you some of the early designs and iconic illustrations from your favorite Disney animated movies.

The theming at these resorts clearly differentiates each one.
While you’re visiting all of them, you’ll innately recognize that you’re at Disney, though.
Nobody else on the planet could make you feel right at home standing beside a gigantic Mighty Ducks hockey mask.
The Amenities

This benefit at Disney Value tier resorts ties back to what I was just discussing.
At Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, you can dine at a food court themed to look like a movie theater lobby.

The bright lighting and throwback theater design sets a tone for your entire meal.
At Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, the Three Caballeros hold court at one of the hotel’s pools.
When you stay at an official Disney resort, you’re gaining all the amenities that Imagineers have created.
These are world-class designers whose sole goal is to surround you with Disney magic wherever you go.
You’ll find new levels of immersion that differentiate a Disney stay from a lesser hotel.

When you stay at a Value tier resort, Donald Duck and his friends could be lurking around any corner.
These special touches make all the amenities feel more authentic and engaging because your meal or dip in the pool is Disney-fied!
The Logistics
I’ve had friends ignore my advice and stay offsite at non-Disney hotels.
Once their trips end, they typically provide similar laments.
When tourists hear that a hotel offers shuttle service to and from the parks, they believe that the logistics are good.

Once they reach the hotel, they quickly realize that they’re pretty much on their own.
Many hotels offer hourly or daily shuttles to Walt Disney World.
So, when you stay there, you’ll receive only a handful of opportunities to reach the parks.

You’re totally reliant on the individual hotel’s staff to transport you to and from Disney.
Even worse, some of these shuttles aren’t even free.
In that case, you might as well just use ride-sharing. And there goes your vacation budget!

Contrast that to staying at Disney.
Park officials have created a well-oiled machine on the Walt Disney World campus.
Their decades of hard work have streamlined transportation.

Disney bus
While I sometimes disparage the Disney bus system, I’m still in awe of it.
Disney ensures a steady flow of buses picking up guests at the various hotels and theme parks.
You’ll rarely wait more than 20 minutes for a bus. Even when you do, the My Disney Experience app shows the schedule.
This app informs you about when you need to be at the bus depot for pick-up.
Then, we have the newest form of transportation, the Disney Skyliner.

You’ll find a gondola station between two of the Value resorts. It’ll carry you straight to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT!
That amenity alone justifies staying at Pop Century or Art of Animation!
The Family Suites

Okay, I’ll talk about this the least since it only applies to a couple of the Value tier resorts.
Still, you’ll find massive Family Suites at All-Star Music and Art of Animation.
These oversized suites sleep up to six guests, making them ideal for larger families and traveling parties.
Please understand that you’ll pay more for a Family Suite, but it’s probably cheaper than paying for multiple rooms.
Even better, these rooms offer arguably the best overall theming of any hotel suite.

I say this because you’ll find rooms meticulously themed to beloved Disney stories like The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo.
Here, just watch this two-minute video of The Lion King Family Suite and then try to tell me you don’t want to stay there!
The Price

Here’s the truly stunning part about staying at a Value resort.
Even though you’re receiving spectacular Disney theming, amenities, and logistics, you’re still saving money.
Disney has loosely based its hotel pricing on location and amenities.

The baseline is the Value tier resort, which is overflowing with high-quality amenities.
Then, Moderate tier and Deluxe tier properties add even more of them, leading to an embarrassment of riches.
You get what you pay for at Disney, especially when it comes to the hotels.

For this reason, you’ll never regret booking a Walt Disney World Value tier resort.
I say this because you’re getting all the amenities you need at a price that’s no different than off-site competitors.
We’re talking about a can’t-lose proposition here! You get the best of Disney at off-brand prices!
