Freya Skye Signs Recording and Television Deal With Disney
Actress, singer, and songwriter Freya Skye has signed a television and recording deal with The Walt Disney Company.
Skye is set to portray Nova in the recently announced Disney Channel movie Zombies 4 and has also begun recording music for Hollywood Records, a division of Disney Music Group. Her deal also includes a songwriting component for Disney Music Publishing.
“Freya’s talent and passion for music is undeniable,” said DMG President Ken Bunt. “We are excited to partner with her and Disney Branded Television and look forward to creating many opportunities together.”
“From singing and songwriting to dancing and acting, Freya is a quadruple threat and a rising star,” added Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. “We are so happy to welcome her into our Disney family and collaborate with her and DMG on ZOMBIES 4 and beyond.”
A Rising Star in England
Skye has been singing and acting in her native England since the age of five. In 2022, she represented the United Kingdom in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. With her hit single “Lose My Head,” she won the top spot in the global public vote.
She would later be featured in two BBC documentaries, which took viewers behind her Eurovision experience.
Additionally, Skye has performed on the BBC’s Children In Need and has appeared on the CBBC’s Saturday Mash-Up, Newsround, The Blue Peter Christmas Special, and Strictly – It Takes Two.
Outside of music, Skye will be appearing in Season 9 of the Canadian teen drama The Next Step.
