Tesla Removes Disney+ From Vehicles as Musk-Iger Feud Continues
As Elon Musk continues to throw barbs at Bob Iger and the Walt Disney Company over their decision to suspend advertising on X temporarily, Tesla has decided to remove Disney+ from some of its vehicles.
Disney was one of many companies that suspended advertising after Musk appeared to support an antisemitic post on X. While Elon subsequently apologized for the tweet, he has openly attacked Disney and Iger ever since.
Musk Continues To Attack Disney
Musk has lambasted Disney as being “infected with the woke mind virus” and called for Bob Iger to be fired.
“He should be fired immediately,” Musk wrote on X. “Walt Disney is turning in his grave over what Bob has done to his company”.
For his part, Iger had a more measured response.
“We just felt that the association with…Elon Musk and X was not necessarily a positive one for us,” Iger said.
Tesla Has Not Revealed An Offical Reason For Disney+ Removal
While Tesla has not provided an official reason for removing Disney+, the optics appear clear.
Bob Iger has recently talked about his desire to see Disney out of the political spotlight, which may no longer be the company’s decision to make.
After public feuds with Ron DeSantis and Elon Musk, Disney has become the poster child for a politically charged company.
If Bob Iger had his way, the conversation would be quiet, and Disney could move on with business as usual. By the looks of things, however, Disney’s public battles may only be heating up.
