New Hydroponics System installed at Living With The Land
Our MickeyBlogger Melissa was at EPCOT earlier today. She went for a ride with Living With the Land, a fun attraction located within the Land Pavilion at EPCOT that takes you through EPCOT’s incredible greenhouses. During her ride this afternoon she noticed a new hydroponic growing system has been installed in the greenhouses!
The greenhouses at EPCOT are incredible and use a myriad of different growing methods to grow a wide array of crops many of which are even used at Disney World eateries like Sunshine Seasons.
Many of EPCOT’s attractions focus on how innovations can shape the future. The new hydroponic system fits perfectly in the greenhouse toward the end of the ride that focuses on vertical gardening.
The cool thing is that though this new system has an incredible sci-fi look, it features a technology that is available to anyone!
Companies like Click and Grow, Zip Garden, AeroGarden and more have hydroponic units available for purchase ranging from incredibly simple systems that fit on a desktop to ornate wall units.
We aren’t exactly sure what wonderful crops EPCOT is currently growing in the new unit be they definitely seem to be flourishing.
From our perspective, as we went around the boat tracks it looks like different types of lettuce are being cultivated.
