Rachel Zegler Opens Up About ‘Snow White’ Live-Action Remake
In an interview, Rachel Zegler opens up for the first time about the challenges and joys of working with CGI characters on the set of the upcoming live-action Snow White remake.
We were unsure at first, but it was recently confirmed that the seven dwarfs will be depicted in the film as CGI characters.
Various rumors arose saying they would be reimagined as humans or human-like creatures of varying aesthetics. Some of these rumors even said the seven friends would be eliminated completely from the movie.
Interview with Rachel Zegler
“This is an iconic thing that people really care about,” Zegler said regarding the film. “I don’t want to mess this up for anybody, including myself!”
Zegler admits that she was initially nervous about working with so much CGI. She explains that she spent most of the day singing alone on set, imagining the animals and woodland creatures around her.
In the interview she explains, “It was really intense. There’s a lot of bloopers of me tossing a broom and letting it fall to the ground because that’s apparently how you toss things off to CGI characters.”
Despite the challenges, Zegler emphasized that working with CGI was ultimately “so much fun.” She expressed her excitement to share the movie with audiences and revealed that there’s “a lot of magic up our sleeve.”
Rachel Zegler says Disney's live-action #SnowWhite is "a bit different story wise." She says acting with CGI characters was "really intense."

As for the reimagined story of Snow White, Zegler says “it’s a bit different” than the original. The production team was, however, able to keep the song Whistle While You Work, much to the excitement of the film’s leading lady.
