PHOTOS: Dreamers Point and World Celebration Gardens Now Open in EPCOT
We’ve been waiting a long time for EPCOT’s transformation to be completed — and today, we’re almost there!
For a few years now, the park has been under major construction as Disney reworked EPCOT’s neighborhoods and the entrance area near Spaceship Earth. Disney is not quite finished with all the construction but we are no less excited about some of the walls coming down — and the reveal of the NEW Dreamers Point area!
Dreamers Point
Dreamers Point is officially open in EPCOT’s World Celebration neighborhood. Here’s what it looks like from a ride on the Monorail.
And here’s the “Walt the Dreamer” statue at Dreamers Point! It’s located just south of Spaceship Earth.
Note that today, December 5th, is also Walt Disney’s birthday!
Walt Disney is sitting on a bench with space next to him so you can sit down and take a picture or just dream with Walt for a minute.
There are two plaques on either side of Walt Disney.
One is labeled with “Walt the Dreamer,” and it says, “Dedicated to all who dream of a better tomorrow,” and today’s date.
The other plaque is a Walt Disney quote, “…always be in a state of becoming.”
World Celebration Gardens
The World Celebration Gardens were also unveiled today, so let’s take a closer look!

There are four gardens, and each one is themed to the area/world it’s closest to.
You can see the differentiation of the gardens on the My Disney Experience app map below.
The gardens include lots of seating areas and even some charging ports at the garden area closest to Connections Cafe.

Sit and relax while you charge your device! This area is supposed to offer additional seating for Connections Cafe and Starbucks guests.
There are also different seating types throughout the gardens, like chairs with “countertops” so you can stop and eat a snack or you can always just rest on a bench.
Eagle eyes can spot references to nearby landmarks, such as these lamps that are reminiscent of the acrylic style in Creations Shop.
Closest to World Nature are these giant metal mushrooms/trees.
This area is intended to be extended seating for guests of Connections Cafe and Starbucks.
These futuristic-type benches are located near World Discovery.
And this spot is near the entrance to the World Showcase.
Also, note that as you face Spaceship Earth from the back entrance and towards the World Showcase, there are two photo op lines to get a photo with the World Celebration Gardens and Spaceship Earth in the background.
