This EPCOT Entrance Fountain Statue Could Not Be Cooler
One of the best parts of the recent overhaul of EPCOT was the return of the entrance plaza fountain in front of Spaceship Earth.
The obelisk fountain originally graced the entrance to EPCOT Center from 1982 until 1999, when it was removed for Epcot’s Millennium Celebration.
After that, the entrance to Epcot looked like a boneyard, with the large Leave a Legacy stones taking up most of the park’s introductory view. While some were excited to get their picture in the park, others thought it made EPCOT look like a cemetery.
Even though the 2020 overhaul of the park led to the loss of another iconic fountain- the Fountain of Nations- it also returned the crystal clear entrance fountain to its proper place. In a time of immense change in the park, it was nice to see the return of an EPCOT classic.
EPCOT Entrance Fountain Statue
Since being returned to the park, the entrance fountain has become symbolic of EPCOT’s past and future.
Over at the Kunstarbeit in Kristall in the Germany pavilion today, we found an amazing sculpture of the EPCOT entrance fountain!
This sculpture was created by the Arribas Brothers and perfectly recreates the iconic fountain. With its sleek design and iconic structure, this is truly an amazing piece.
Here is a closer look at some of the details. I love the Epcot logo that sits atop the fountain. I’m so glad they decided to bring these logos back. Also, since you know the Arribas Brothers made it, the quality is amazing.
So What’s The Cost
Now that we have established how cool this statue is, we have to talk about the price. Right now this piece is selling for $1250 dollars! While that is certainly outside of my price range, maybe you can swing it.
