5 Ways to Celebrate the Holidays at Blizzard Beach in Disney World
Blizzard Beach Water Park reopened earlier this month in Disney World after being closed since March of 2023. The park is perfect for the holiday season with its theming of a melting ski resort, but that’s not the only reason why!
There are also a bunch of festive activities happening at Blizzard Beach this season. Let’s talk about them!
The Holidays at Blizzard Beach
Santa Claus Meet & Greet
You can meet Santa Claus at Blizzard Beach this holiday season! And, it’s not your regular Santa you’re used to seeing — he’s wearing his tropical gear.
Santa is located over near Sonny’s Sleds (which is near the main entrance of the park). You can see him from park open through 12:30PM every day from now until Christmas Eve.
Holiday Scavenger Hunt
There is also a holiday-themed scavenger hunt happening at Blizzard Beach! There are two different maps available — one that takes you through Tike’s Peak and the other that takes you through the Ski Patrol Training Camp.
You can get your maps near the Lost Children Hut and they’re available Fridays-Sundays from now through December 21st. Starting December 22nd, they’ll be available every day through New Year’s Eve.
Seasonal Treats
Looking for some festive treats? You can find some limited-time food and drink options in Blizzard Beach!
There are a bunch of fun items, like the Peppermint Milkshake, which you can get at Lottawatta Lodge.
Decorate Gingerbread Cookies
If you want to do some decorating, pick up a Gingerbread Cookie Decorating kit at Lottawatta Lodge for $10.99.
The kits include two cookies, icing, sprinkles, and decorations. This is a great way to get into the holiday spirit while creating a tasty treat!
Festive Floating on Cross Country Creek
Cross Country Creek is Blizzard Beach’s lazy river that winds 3,000 feet around the park. This is a relaxing activity already, but it now has some holiday fun added to it!
You can float down the creek in a festive holiday-themed tube. And don’t worry, the creek is heated, so it will only LOOK like a winter wonderland!
Also remember that you can get a Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass right now. It’s $79 and can be used from now through May 24th, 2024 (learn more right here!).
