Two Exciting New Restaurants are Coming to Downtown Disney District Soon!
It’s no secret that the Downtown Disney District is a great destination for foodies, whether you’re local to Anaheim or happily enjoying a Disneyland Resort vacation!
However, while the dining options are aplenty – from fine cuisine to good, on-the-go grub – we’re always excited to see and hear new locations cooking up magic across the district.
So, while on a midweek trip to Downtown Disney, our MickeyBlog reporters were eager to notice some exciting progress was being made towards the arrival of two new and highly-anticipated restaurants.
How intriguing! Let’s see what’s going on shall we?
Din Tai Fung
The first of the two new restaurants we spotted is Din Tai Fung, who are apparently “steaming soon” over in the West Side!
Setting up over near the Disneyland Hotel, this exciting new restaurant will be bringing the best of Chinese cuisine to Downtown Disney, including noodles, dumplings, and all kinds of dim sum.
If the mouth-watering photos from the newly-added marketing that has gone up on the construction walls is anything to go by, we’re sure this restaurant will be a huge hit! Din Tai Fung is already a world-renowned restaurant, and we can’t wait to try it out once it opens at the Disneyland Resort at some point in 2024.
Watch this space!
Paseo and Centrico
Moving into the center of Downtown Disney now, we come to a hive of activity in the place of the former Catal restaurant.
Having closed its doors back in March, Catal has been undergoing a huge renovation, and will be reopening as Paseo and Centrico, an authentic Mexican dining location by Chef Carlos Gaytan.
While we’re still waiting on a date for this project to be confirmed, guests are all a-buzz over the arrival of this exciting new venue in the center of the district.
As you can see from the photos, marketing posters have started to be added to the colorful construction walls, creating a good amount of hype for the delicious dishes that are to be excepted. Yum!
Interestingly, the large Catal sign is still evidently affixed to the building. We wonder how long this will stay up for?
Our reporters will be keeping a close eye on the site over the coming months, so be sure to stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com for all the latest construction progress and updates!
There’s always lots to look forward to at Downtown Disney, with the whole district constantly evolving and adding exciting new shopping, dining, entertainment, and other venues for guests to enjoy.
