4 NEW Downtown Disney Dining Options Just Revealed
Downtown Disney District at Disneyland is introducing some delicious new things!
Among the new dining and entertainment coming to Downtown Disney soon, Disney has just shared more details about Parkside Market, which will include a new stage, lawn, and more! There will be four new culinary options all under one roof, so let’s take a look at what’s coming soon!
Seoul Sister will feature a “Korean-forward menu based on bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) with a California twist.” This fast-casual spot has been cultivated by Executive Chef Kelly Kim, and the menu will “showcase bold Korean flavors through marinated meats, colorful vegetables and savory sauces over rice, noodles or salad, plus appetizers, an Asian-inspired breakfast menu, and hand-crafted drinks.”
Sip & Sonder is a Black-women-owned brand, founded by Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas. Known as one of the best cafes in Los Angeles, as per the Los Angeles Times, this spot will feature their signature lattes, fresh treats, frozen drinks, and Caribbean-inspired eats.
GG’s Chicken Shop was founded by James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm and Michelin Star Chef Partner Lee Wolen. This spot will feature a menu of chicken sandwiches, salads, and classic sides. Named after Wolen’s mother Geri, the first GG’s Chicken Shop opened in Chicago in 2023, and the Downtown Disney location will be the first GG’s Chicken Shop on the West Coast.
And finally, Parkside Market will feature a second-story bar with views of Downtown Disney and a menu of signature craft cocktails and mocktails. Other menu selections will include frozen lemonades, frozés, espresso martinis, shareable cocktails, and spirit-free elixirs.
Later in 2023, Downtown Disney will open a new stage and lawn for activities, special events, musical entertainment, and more on the west end of the district. Also, paying tribute to the work of pioneer architects of the mid-20th century with unique geometric patterns, a brand new sculptural tower will be revealed, designed by Nikkolas Smith.
In addition, a world-renowned Chinese restaurant known for its soup dumplings and noodles, Din Tai Fung, a Mexican restaurant by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán at Paseo and Céntrico, and a Cuban-themed restaurant featuring cheese rolls and pastries at Porto’s Bakery Cafe will be coming as well.
