Progress Continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and More…
At Magic Kingdom, progress continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and we found changes made to Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse!
While the total overhaul of the former Splash Mountain attraction is the biggest construction project going on right now, there are still upgrades happening throughout other areas of Magic Kingdom.

Check out what we found this morning…
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
We’ve been watching this beautiful, hand-painted mural take form over the last few weeks. With the scaffolding now removed, it appears to be complete!
This bright-colored mural features Louis and his trumpet. The swirling, multi-color lines of music perfectly represent Louis’ favorite style of music – jazz.
Imagineers are making extensive changes throughout the entire ride area, starting at the entrance. Imagineers are hard at work to make this a fully immersive experience.
Scaffolding and construction materials also show that work continues on the ride system itself.
This morning, we see the top of the mountain taking form!
We’ve seen crews on the mountain often, so we know they’re hard at work in this area. As the visual changes continue, the shift from the former theme to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is more drastic.
There’s still a lot of work to be done during this massive ride change, so keep checking back with MickeyBlog for updates!
Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse
Though Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is getting a lot of attention, Disney is not ignoring the need for updates in other areas of Magic Kingdom, too.
Just this morning, we noticed that Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse got some touchups.
In this walk-through attraction, Disney stayed true to the story by recreating their home as portrayed in the movie. (If you haven’t seen it, you can watch it on Disney+!) Even though it’s supposed to look weathered, sometimes a little TLC is needed.
Oars line the walkway leading to the Treehouse, and this morning, they’re all brand new! The oars have an important job – they hold a heavy fabric awning that offers a little shade from the sun!
