Disney Cruise Line Named Best Cruise Line for Families and Best in Caribbean
For anyone who has ever sailed with Disney before, this will come as no surprise, but U.S. News and World Report has just bestowed two top honors upon Disney Cruise Line: Best Cruise Line for Families and Best Cruise Line in the Caribbean!
U.S. News and World Report ranked a whopping 150 cruise ships to determine the best of the best for their annual cruise line rankings, and once again, Disney Cruise Line comes out on top.

Best Cruise Line for Families
After Disney Cruise Line at number one, Royal Caribbean came in at second place, and Carnival Cruise Line came in at third place.
Per U.S. News and World Report, “From its signature Mickey’s Sail-A-Wave Party to its pirate-themed dinners, Disney attracts passengers looking for a full roster of entertainment options. Passengers can enjoy kid-friendly dining venues and amenities, plus visits from Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto. The line’s cruise ships also offer adults-only dining areas, quiet pool spots, and nightlife options.”

U.S. News and World Report used several factors to determine what cruise lines would earn top honors. These include “health ratings, reputation among experts and approval among families with both younger and older kids.”
Disney Cruise Line offers anywhere from two to 15-night cruises and departs from ports around the world. Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries are among the most popular, but new South Pacific, New Zealand, and Australian itineraries have been quite popular.

Disney Cruise Line also offers the perfect solution for multi-generational looking to explore Alaska and Europe with port adventures or excursions guests of all ages will love and a variety of entertainment on board, including kids clubs, elaborate pools, movie theaters, and much more.
Another perk families love about Disney Cruise Line is the size of their staterooms. Unlike other cruise lines, many of the staterooms available on Disney Cruise Line’s ships accommodate up to five guests. This is on top of the fairytale touches guests will find in their staterooms.

Disney Cruise Line boasts a ratio of one crew member for every three passengers, so guests always feel that level of customer service we all know and love from Disney.
Currently, Disney Cruise Line has five ships sailing the high seas, including the all-new Disney Wish. However, a newer ship, the Disney Treasure, is set to enter the fleet at the end of 2024. Then, a few more ships will come into service in the following years.

Best Cruise Line in the Caribbean
To determine the best Cruise Lines in the Caribbean, U.S. News and World Report “Used a methodology that factors in each cruise line’s variety, number, and percentage of Caribbean itineraries, along with approval ratings among experts and travelers.”
Behind Disney Cruise Line being named number one in the Best Cruise Line in the Caribbean category was Celebrity Cruise at number two and the adults-only cruise line, Virgin Voyages, at number three.

Per U.S. News and World Report, “Disney’s ships sail to ports across the Caribbean, including Barbados, Jamaica, and St. Lucia. Most of Disney’s Caribbean cruises stop at Castaway Cay – the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas. In addition to offering character greetings and waterslides, the island boasts less-congested beaches and prime snorkeling.”
