It Looks Like Blizzard Beach Will Be Opening Up Soon at Disney World
The holiday season is fast approaching in Disney World! We’ve actually already seen a few signs of the parks preparing for the festivities.
There will be holiday after hours events, a holiday festival at EPCOT, and a ton of new merchandise! Disney also confirmed that you will be able to meet Santa Claus in all 4 theme parks, Disney Springs, AND at a water park.
At the time of the initial announcement, Disney didn’t confirm which water park Santa would be at. But, now we know!
Blizzard Beach Open for the Holidays
Back in June, Disney confirmed that you will be able to meet Santa Claus in all 4 theme parks, Disney Springs, AND at a water park. At the time, they didn’t confirm which water park Santa would be at.
We were left wondering as well, especially because Typhoon Lagoon isn’t showing hours after November 4th. And, Blizzard Beach is currently closed.
However, when you go over to Disney World’s website for the holidays, there is a section that talks about the celebrations happening at Blizzard Beach! It talks about how there will be daily “snowfall” as well as Santa Claus vacationing in his holiday beachwear.
So, it looks like Blizzard Beach will be open at some point for the holiday season! The website still isn’t showing any hours for the park, though.
We are assuming that they’re just waiting to make an announcement, which will hopefully happen soon. We will be keeping an eye out!
This would also be good news for those of you wanting to visit a water park after November 4th, since it appears that Typhoon Lagoon will be closing. Disney also released a season pass ticket for the water parks that’s good through May of 2024, so it’s nice to know that one of them will at least be open later this year!
Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates!
