PHOTOS: Familiar Paneling Being Added to CommuniCore Hall in EPCOT
EPCOT has been undergoing a huge transformation over the past several years. We’ve seen new rides, lands, restaurants, stores, and more.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
The transformation is not yet finished, but we should see a big part of it completed by the end of this year! CommuniCore Hall and Plaza are slated to open this December.
Today, we saw some exciting construction progress happening over in the area!
CommuniCore Hall Paneling
Paneling has begun being installed on the side of CommuniCore Hall. Do you notice anything interesting about these panels?
Let’s take a closer look — they look familiar, right? It almost looks like the same kind of paneling on the outside of Spaceship Earth!
If they continue with this paneling across the side of the building (and it looks like they are), CommuniCore Hall will have a similar look to Spaceship Earth.
Although, even though it might look similar, we don’t think it will be exactly the same. According to the concept art, it looks like gaps will be left between some of panels allowing lights to shine through.
But, keep in mind that this is just concept art and could look different once it’s completed.
