BREAKING: EPCOT’s New World Celebration Neighborhood to Open This December
We’re back with more news from Destination D23 in Disney World!
In case you missed it, in 2022 Disney announced that a new section of World Celebration in EPCOT was in development, including popular existing attractions as well as new gathering spaces, and now we have an opening month!
Opening Dates for World Celebration
World Celebration will officially open to the public in December 2023!
This neighborhood will include Spaceship Earth, the Odyssey Center, the Imagination Pavilion, and the new areas that will be known as CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, and Dreamers Point.
CommuniCore Plaza and Hall will essentially serve as a “hub” for all kinds of events and entertainment, including EPCOT festivals. CommuniCore Hall will be located inside CommuniCore Plaza.
CommuniCore Hall will include features such as gallery space and an exhibition hall where guests can experience a mixology bar, a demonstration kitchen, and even a new Mickey & Friends meet-and-greet location.
As a whole, CommuniCore Plaza will include outdoor areas outside of the Hall, where guests can gather to relax and enjoy live entertainment.
And Dreamers Point will be a new life-sized bronze statue of Walt Disney, located near the entrance to EPCOT.
We can’t wait to check out these new areas this December! Keep following MickeyBlog for more Disney news!
