WATCH: The Magic Kingdom Bear Has Been Safely Released In Her New Home
Yesterday was a truly bizarre day in the history of the Magic Kingdom.
Visitors who arrived at Walt Disney World’s original park were shocked to learn that Adventureland, Liberty Square, and Frontierland were closed off and not accessible to guests.

Adventureland Closed
While Cast Members initially identified “technical issues” as the reason for the lands’ closures, the real story soon came out.
The Bear Nessicities
As it turns out, earlier that morning, a bear had been spotted in a tree near the Rivers of America. While Magic Kingdom has its own slew of singing bears, a wild bear roaming Frontierland was not something that you see every day (or ever!).
By 12:30 p.m., parts of Adventureland, Liberty Square, and Froniertland were reopened to guests, although the attractions located near the Rivers of America remained closed.

Disney then released a statement confirming that they had a bear situation on their hands.
“We are working with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). And have made the decision to reopen Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Adventureland,” Disney explained. “As shared by the FWC, staff are on-site and working on capturing and relocating the bear.”

Finally, at around 1:15 p.m., Florida Fishing and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers successfully captured the bear in a backstage area northeast of the Rivers of America.
At the time, FWC officials stated the bear was safe. They then explained that the bear would be relocated to an area in or around the Ocala National Forest.

Well, I am happy to report that early Tuesday morning, the Magic Kingdom bear was indeed safely released in the Ocala National Forest.
Even better, the FWC shared a video of the bear’s release, giving us a look at this Magic Kingdom legend.

In the end, all’s well that ends well. No guests were harmed, and the bear got to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, before being safely released in her new home.
