Construction Continues Outside Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom
Just months after its 50th anniversary, Disney began an exterior refurbishment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
So far, the work has been limited to the attraction’s iconic Torre del Cielo, which has been surrounded by construction walls for months now.

While it doesn’t seem like all that much progress has been made, considering how long the construction has been going on, we now have an update.

When visiting the fabled Caribbean Plaza at the Magic Kingdom today, we noticed that the refurbishment has expanded.

Additionally, a new scrim has been erected and is now covering the bottom portion of the tower.

While the construction zone is a blight on the traditionally majestic Pirates of the Caribbean plaza, it is not affecting operations.
