Get a First Look at the New Mural at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel
On September 28th, guests visiting Disneyland Resort can check out a one-of-a-kind mural featuring lots of fun details and scenes from some of your favorite Disney films when the latest Disney Vacation Club property, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Resort opens its doors to visitors!

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel is a new 12-story tower with an aesthetic that celebrates decades of Walt Disney World animation and storytelling. As soon as you walk into the lobby you’ll be greeted with a beautiful mural that was created exclusively for the tower. The artist behind this stunning piece is v who also served as associate production designer on Disney Animation’s Academy Award-winning Encanto.
Bove is a Disney Animation veteran and has contributed artwork for Big Hero 6, Zootopia, Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Winnie the Pooh and Wreck-It Ralph. Bove has also created artwork for several Disney Little Golden Books and was a featured artist in the “Dreams Come True: Art of the Classic Fairy Tales from The Walt Disney Studios” exhibit at the New Orleans Museum of Art.
When speaking of the mural Bove said, “I wanted to have the characters in their own worlds, because I wanted to respect their worlds in their films. To me, that was important. When guests look at it, the viewer is immersed into each of the vignettes individually as they travel through the mural.”
If you look closely at the mural you’ll see an incredible array of films represented in the artwork including The Lion King, Encanto, Big Hero 6, Raya and the Last Dragon, Fantasia and more! There’s even one character we haven’t even met yet. Star from Disney’s upcoming 2023 release Wish is also featured.

In a fun nod to a long-standing tradition, guests will also notice several Hidden Mickey’s scattered throughout the mural.
