Where to Find the Spicy Food at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
The Halloween season in Disney World is filled with pumpkins, spooky merchandise, and a lot of seasonal treats. We’re at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tonight to check everything out, including the special food!
There are a LOT of sweet treats in the park for the party, but there are some savory options as well. So, let’s go check out some new items at Friar’s Nook!
Friar’s Nook Halloween Food
There are three new items over at Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland! These items are only available during the party, so you can’t get them during regular park hours.
First up, we have the Pain and Panic Brat for $11.99. This is a bratwurst with sweet and spicy onion relish and sriracha mustard.
This is very similar to the Pain and Panic Hot Dog that was at Casey’s Corner last year. The only difference is that last year’s was a hot dog instead of a brat and had some Cheetos on top.
The portion size might not look super big, but we definitely think this is big enough to share! It is seasoned but we do think it’s still lacking some flavor.
The bun was a little tough and we would’ve liked a bit more mustard. It’s a decent option, but nothing to go out of your way for.
The next new item is the Pain and Panic Loaded Tots for $11.49. These tots are topped with sweet and spicy onion relish, sriracha mustard, and crumbled bratwurst.
So, this is basically just like the brat we just ate, but in tots form! These are also very similar to the tots on the regular menu during the day.
They’re pretty good, but we think we’d rather just get normal cheese tots over them.
We also think they needed more sauce!
Finally, we have the new Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie with spicy ranch drizzle and blue cheese powder for $9.99. This seems to be a slight variation from last year’s Spellbinding Fried Pie that was at Golden Oak Outpost.
This hand pie has a pretty decent amount of spice! It’s seasoned well and there’s a good amount of chicken inside.
The pastry is flakey and delicious, which we appreciated!
If you like spicy food, you should definitely enjoy this! It’s also not super heavy so it won’t weigh you down.
Overall, we’d suggest the hand pie here over the other two items.
