The FriendShip VIII Returns With A New Color Scheme in Disney World
If there is one experience that I love in all of Walt Disney World, it is taking a trip on a FriendShip boat.
Taking a tour around Cresent Lake is a relaxing bit of Disney magic that gives you great views of some of Disney’s most beautiful hotels.
In fact, when I am staying at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club or even the Swan and Dolphin, I will often find a chair with a view and watch the boats come and go.
Likewise, when touring World Showcase, I often like to wait for a FriendShip to pick me up. While everyone else is debating whether to start in Mexico or Canada, I am sailing in style to Germany.
FriendShip VIII Has A New Color Scheme
Well, as a major FriendShip Boat fan, I am happy to report that the FriendShip VIII has debuted at EPCOT today with an all-new color scheme.
While the FriendShip boats have long been known for their bright, pastel colors, the new color scheme takes the ship in a different direction.
The vessel now features a dark blue base, with white and yellow trim. A far cry from the former color scheme, it is safe to say the boat looks more modern now.
Here is another look at the design, I almost wouldn’t recognize her!
The Walt Disney World logo has also been carefully painted on the hull. I love the look of this insignia.
Other Vessels Will Roll Out Soon
Currently, only the FriendShip VIII has been given the new color scheme. However, the new design is expected to roll out on other vessels in the fleet soon.
