CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: DVC Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
It’s time for your weekly Disney Vacation Club Polynesian Village Resort construction update! Our MickeyBlogger passed by the deluxe resort property earlier today and noticed that the waterfront area of the Poly is being taken up by this new build!
As you can see, the sprawling new DVC tower at the Poly takes up a large swath of Seven Seas Lagoon real estate.
The new tower will bring additional Disney Vacation Club rooms to Walt Disney World including one and two-bedroom villas.
Currently, the Polynesian Village Resort does have DVC rooms but these are limited to studios and over-the-water bungalows. The new expansion will add more variety.
Those at Walt Disney World can see the new DVC building at the Poly while riding the monorail or across the lagoon.
The Polynesian Village Resort DVC Tower is expected to be opening at some point next year.
For those familiar with the Polynesian, the new tower is in the location that was formerly the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show which closed during the pandemic and did not reopen.
For the concept art previously released by Disney, the new DVC tower looks as if it will be at least 8 floors high.

Disney has also said that the new DVC property will feature a wide range of amenities including a pool, additional dining options, and more.
Things have been moving quickly on the construction site.
Guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in 2023 should expect to encounter construction during your stay.
However, Disney is pretty good at limited construction to daytime when guests are at the park.
The Polynesian Resort DVC Tower is part of a massive refurbishment over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort that has seen rooms refurbished, new hard and soft furnishings in the lobby area, a new entrance/porte cochere, the remodeling of Kona Cafe, and more!
Standard Rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort were also given makeovers with bright, tropical Moana-theming.
