Haunted Mansion Closing Soon For Refurbishment in Disney World
Disney World vacations are tons of fun usually, but they don’t always come without the occasional rain cloud (literally and figuratively). We can’t control the weather, and we also can’t control things like ride closures in the parks.
Some ride closures are random and unpredictable, like when an outdoor ride goes down due to a thunderstorm. But, Disney also will regularly shut down an attraction in order to do some minor work.
And, that’s what’s about to happen to one of the most iconic attractions in Disney World!
Haunted Mansion Closing
Haunted Mansion will be closed at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom from August 7th through August 9th for routine refurbishment.
This likely just means that some upkeep maintenance will be happening so the ride can continue running smoothly!
HOWEVER! Last year, Disney announced that the Hatbox Ghost would be coming to the Haunted Mansion in Disney World sometime in 2023.
Since he has not arrived yet, this seems like a likely time that the ghost could be added to the ride. If the animatronic is ready to go, it could be as simple as Disney just needing a few days to install him into the ride and ensure he’s operating correctly.
The timing would also make sense since it’s around the same time that the Halloween season begins in the parks. Of course Disney would want the spooky spirit to be seen by everyone during this time!
We will just have to wait and see what happens. Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates!
