The Boneyard is Open + New Construction Underway in Animal Kingdom
Our MickeyBlogger is seeing what’s new in the Parks today, and we’ve got some updates. We’re happy to report that The Boneyard is back open, but there’s also new construction underway in Animal Kingdom!
The Boneyard
Back in April, we noticed that the playground was showing no hours from May 1 through June 12. Disney World’s day calendar informed Guests, “The Boneyard is closing for refurbishment during this time.”
We can now confirm that the Dinoland, U.S.A. attraction is back in action! Our MickeyBlogger visited the site today.
The sign informs that it is open from 9 AM to 7 PM. Disney invites you to, “Roam an open-air space—designed to look like a dinosaur dig—where young paleontologists can play.”
On a recent visit, I was struck by this amazing area as I passed by. What a fantastic place for kiddos!
Inside, kids 10 and under can enjoy rope bridges, caves, and slides. There’s also a dig site where they can excavate dinosaur fossils!
Make sure to pay it a visit on your next trip. While you’re in the area, don’t miss the Dinosaur attraction; it’s a thrilling experience!
New Construction
Upon our visit today, we noticed new construction walls in the Africa section.
Here’s a look at the spot on the map.
After you cross the bridge from Discovery Island, it’s located on the right, around the corner from the DOLE Whip window.
MickeyBlog will continue to keep you posted on construction within Animal Kingdom and the latest from Disney Parks!
Keep following along! If you’re planning a visit to Animal Kingdom soon, be advised that The Boneyard is now open, but there’s new construction underway in Africa.
