This Disney World Shake Is Basically 4th of July in a Cup
Happy 4th of July, dear readers! Is anyone else hungry for some patriotic treats today?
Since many treats became available over the last couple of days in Disney World, we’ve tried a Star-spangled Brownie, a Fireworks Layer Cake, a Fruit Tart, and more, and now it’s time for a milkshake!
Fourth of July Shake
We stopped by Sunshine Seasons to give the returning Fourth of July Shake a try. This red velvet shake is served with whipped cream and topped with red velvet cake along with red, white, and blue sprinkles.
It costs $12 and is available from July 1st to the 31st.
Sunshine Seasons is located inside The Land Pavilion, so it’s a nice way to cool off while you eat. After you finish, you can also ride Soarin’ or Living With The Land!
This shake is essentially a traditional chocolate shake, one that is quite similar to the thick specialty shakes served at Hollywood Scoops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The chocolate was pretty rich and we did get a hint of red velvet flavor. (In case you didn’t know, red velvet cake is typically made with cocoa powder and red food dye to give it that color).
Our cup also included icing along the rim, with red, white, and blue sprinkles stuck to the icing.
The cake on top was super moist and delicious too, so we consider that a win! In fact, this shake would be pretty easy to share, as it was a lot to eat, but we won’t judge you if you keep it to yourself, either.
We thought it was super cute for the 4th of July and it will be available through July 31st, so you do have time time to give it a try. On a hot day like today, it was definitely a welcome treat!
