Limited-Time 4th of July Liege Waffle Bursts into EPCOT
Happy Fourth of July, everyone!
We hope you’re all having the sweetest of days. But, if you’re needing just a little extra sugar to celebrate the occasion, we think we’ve found just the treat over at EPCOT. We hope you’re hungry, as we’re off to go check it out!
So far this 4th of July, our MickeyBloggers have enjoyed a fantastic range of commemorative treats around the Walt Disney World resort, including brownies, cakes, shakes, and more.
Today, we’re checking out another new treat, this time available from Connections Café at EPCOT. If you’re at all familiar with this place, you might already have a good idea of what we’re about to show you!
Yep, once again, Connections Café has added a commemorative Liege Waffle to their menu, this time in celebration of the 4th of July.
After the Valentine’s Day waffle, the Pride Month waffle, the EPCOT anniversary waffle, the Orange Bird waffle, and even some Guardians of the Galaxy-inspired waffle bites (yes, I’m trying to break a record for the most “waffles” in a MickeyBlog post), it really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that a red, white, and blue waffle has popped like fireworks into the cafe’s counter. After all, what could be more patriotic than a Belgian waffle?
Still, we’re intrigued, so let’s go get a better look!
So, as we can see from this menu card, today’s waffle is still that classic Liege style we all love – brioche dough coated in thick pearl sugar – but looks like it has been spiced up quite considerably for the patriotic celebrations.
All around the edges of the waffle are red, white, and blue sprinkles, stuck on with white frosting. Then, right in the center of the treat, is a Mickey icon, for some added Disney magic!
This treat costs $4.19 and is only available at Connections Café today. So, no trying to grab one on the 5th of July, as they’ll all be gone!
If you’re a Liege Waffle fan spending your 4th of July at EPCOT this year, be sure to grab one of these treats, perhaps before heading over to meet Colonial Mickey at the American Adventure pavilion. We hope you enjoy it!
