On this day in 1942, the Pluto short The Sleepwalker was released.

The Midget Autopia Opens in Marceline
On this day in 1966, the relocated Midget Autopia opened in Marceline, Missouri.
The dedication plaque on the attraction read “Relocated from the Magic Kingdom of Disneyland as a gift to the children of this community from Marceline’s favorite sons Walt and Roy Disney. Accepted in appreciation July 1966 Mayor C. A. Young”
Tinker Bell Takes Flight Over the Magic Kingdom (1985)
On this day in 1985, Tinker Bell took her inaugural flight over the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

On this day in 1998, Innoventions opened in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland.

Disney’s Electrical Parade Debuts (2001)
On this day in 2001, Disney’s Electrical Parade opened at Disney California Adventure.
The parade was renamed Main Street Electrical Parade and opened in celebration of the park’s first summer.
Disneyland’s Mark VII Monorail Debuts (2008)
On this day in 2008, the new Marvk VII Monorail Red transported its first guests at Disneyland.
The new monorail featured red sides, blue glass windows, and a new island seating configuration.
1,000 Immigrants Sworn In At The Magic Kingdom (2009)
On this day in 2009, more than 1,000 immigrants were sworn in at the Magic Kingdom.
The group was treated to performances by the Voices of Liberty and the Spirt of America Fife and Drum Corps before attending a premiere of the revamped Hall of Presidents attraction.
The Lone Ranger Released (2013)
On this day in 2013, The Lone Ranger was released.

Based on the popular radio and television show, the film starred Johnny Depp as Tonto and Arnie Hammer as the Lone Ranger.
Star Wars Forces of Destiny Premieres (2017)
On this day in 2017, Star Wars Forces of Destiny premiered on the Disney YouTube channel.

Hamilton Premieres On Disney+
On this day in 2020, Hamilton premiered on Disney+.
