No Water in Cinderella Fountain as it Undergoes Refurbishment
Magic Kingdom is making the rounds when it comes to outdoor decor. Currently, there’s no water in Cinderella Fountain, signaling a refurbishment.
Refurbishments
Cinderella Fountain is located behind the castle, near Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Recently, we reported that walls came down on the back side of the landmark.
The area was blocked off for quite a while to allow for touch-ups after the removal of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary decor. Repainting remedied the sun damage.
The castle has returned to its former glory, but now, maintenance has commenced on a nearby water feature. Recently, the fountain in front of Gaston’s Tavern received similar treatment.
Fortunately, water is back to flowing again over at that location. Let’s take a closer look at Cinderella Fountain.
Cinderella Fountain
As you can see, the fountain is as dry as a desert! It’s amazing how water brings these statues to life.
Inside, it’s obvious that it can use a refurbishment and some TLC.
The statue showcases Cinderella before she became a Princess. She sits, surrounded by her animal friends including mice and birds!
Notice the crown above her head, signaling what her future holds. What a clever design!
A plaque on the front says “Cinderella Fountain” with four pillars surrounding its exterior.
A beautiful mural behind accents the statue in pink, green, and gold.
We hope to see the fountain back in action again soon. As always, MickeyBlog will keep you posted!
If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom, and hoping for a photo op here, be advised that currently, there is no water in Cinderella Fountain as it undergoes refurbishment.
