Progress at Magic Kingdom as Construction Walls Come Down Behind Cinderella Castle!
Earlier this month, we shared that Cinderella Castle was receiving touch ups, post Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary. Today, we spotted progress at Magic Kingdom, with construction walls down behind the landmark!
Repainting / Touch Ups
Throughout June, we’ve continued to see repainting on different portions of Cinderella Castle. Our MickeyBlogger captured some beautiful shots of the spires, as maintenance continued.
Notice the shiny, bright, blue color, glowing in the sun. We also spotted touch ups on the gray bricks that make up the castle’s base.
After ribbons and decor from the 50th Anniversary were removed, they left their mark! The touch ups have remedied the sun damage.
Construction Walls Down
As part of the construction, some equipment was sitting behind the castle, for quite a while.
Construction walls were also erected. Needless to say, they’ve been a bit of an eyesore, making for less-than-ideal photo ops.
Our MickeyBlogger is visiting Magic Kingdom Park today, and is delighted to report that the walls are down! Although the moat is still empty, we’re happy to see progress at the location.
Slowly, but surely, things are getting back to normal. Hopefully, we’ll soon see the castle return to her former glory; we’re getting there!
Isn’t that a beautiful sight?! As always, MickeyBlog will continue to keep you updated on construction within the Disney Parks.
Keep following along for the latest news! If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom, you’ll be able to take some nice photos, as construction walls have come down behind Cinderella Castle!
