Cinderella Castle Receiving Touch Ups Post WDW 50th Anniversary
Although Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary officially ended on March 31, 2023, Magic Kingdom is still in the process of removing decor. Currently, Cinderella Castle is receiving touch ups to bring its exterior back to life.
Cinderella Castle
During the 50th Anniversary, gold ribbons and celebratory embellishments were added to give the castle a unique, new look. In addition, a large 50th emblem adorned the center of the landmark.
Since the festivities came to a close, MickeyBlog has been updating you on Magic Kingdom’s removal process. From the moat being drained to every last ribbon being extracted, construction has continued into June.
Our MickeyBlogger is at Magic Kingdom once again today, checking the status of the work. Upon his visit, he noticed that the castle has received some touch up paint.
When the 50th Anniversary decorations were removed, they exposed some fading in various spots along the fortress. The intense Florida sun did its damage, but Magic Kingdom is on top of it, rectifying the situation.
Let’s take a look at the images captured by our MickeyBlogger, as Disney World works to restore Cinderella Castle to its former glory!
Touch Ups
As you can see, the castle spires look bright in blue, with pristine gold trim, and fresh, gray bricks!
Looking at it now, you would never know that it used to be covered with ribbons.
The paint touch ups have given it a smooth, clean look.
Attention to detail like this contributes to making Disney Parks a standout destination!
