It Looks Like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind- Holiday Remix Is Not Returning
Disney is celebrating Halfway to Holidays, by announcing a TON of new holiday activities coming to Walt Disney World this Winter.
In addition to returning favorites such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional, and Jingle Bell Jingle BAM, Disney is introducing new celebrations like Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Once again, during the holiday season, EPCOT will come alive to celebrate holiday traditions from around the world.
In addition to the aforementioned Candlelight Processional, EPCOT will be home to the International Festival of the Holidays from November 24 through December 30, 2023.

While fans are obviously excited for the return of EPCOT’s holiday festivities, one fan-favorite holiday overlay will not be returning.
A Holiday Favorite Not Returning
A glaring omission from Disney’s EPCOT announcements today, was the return of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind holiday remix.
The special holiday version of Cosmic Rewind debuted last winter, and saw the attractions usual classic rock influenced playlist replaced with a medley of Christmas music.
While the overlay only changed the attraction’s soundtrack it was still a fun and festive twist on the popular EPCOT attraction.

Although it is possible that Disney will announce the return of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind- Holiday Remix, at a later date, for now at least, it doesn’t look like the overlay will be returning.
