Memorial Day Crowds Surprisingly Low in Disney World
There are usually some predictable times when you can expect big crowds at Disney World. These include the holiday season, spring break, and big summer holidays like the 4th of July.
Another time you typically see many people in the parks is during federal holidays which create long weekends. Since today is Memorial Day, we went to the parks to check out the crowd levels.
Memorial Day Crowds
We showed up in Magic Kingdom this morning expecting to see some big crowds for Memorial Day. The crowds on Main Street, U.S.A. were decent, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Even getting closer to the castle, it looked like it was pretty busy.
But then we moved closer to Cinderella Castle into the Hub, and there was hardly anyone there!
This is super surprising for today considering it’s a holiday and people usually take trips during long weekends.
But, it could be that most people are traveling today, so they spent their time in the parks on Saturday and Sunday and then left today.
That theory holds up, as we did see some pretty big crowds in the park yesterday.
Still, it’s a bit weird! Over in Tomorrowland, crowds were low as well.
There is definitely a ton of breathing room today!
There are still people out and about, just not nearly as many as we thought there would be!
We wondered if this was just a thing in Magic Kingdom, but EPCOT was the same!
There was hardly anyone walking around…
…or getting in line for major rides like Test Track.
Soarin’ also wasn’t crowded…
…and Living with the Land had a 5-minute wait this morning.
Near the Imagination Pavilion, things were also very slow.
Hardly anyone was around!
It looks like many people have already left town.
