The Little Mermaid’s Halle Bailey Surprises Fans at Disneyland
We are one week away from the highly anticipated premiere of Disney’s Live Action The Little Mermaid. To celebrate, Disneyland had a special surprise in store for fans on their recent trip to the Park!

Disney Parks Blog reports that after a couple of fan videos went viral, Disneyland swept in to sprinkle its magic. The Lanier and Fleming families include McKenzie, Madison and Carter Lanier and Mckenzie and Riley Fleming.

After seeing their heartwarming reactions to Halle Bailey’s portrayal of Ariel in the trailer, The Walt Disney Studios stepped in. Not only were both families invited on a magical trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, but they had a special surprise in store!

As the children received makeovers at the enchanting Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, they were shown a pre-recorded video from Halle Bailey. Afterward, Halle suddenly appeared in person, to meet the families!

After giving hugs all around, and chatting with the group, Ariel herself invited them to The Little Mermaid‘s World Premiere! The Lanier and Fleming families accompanied her on a blue carpet, to celebrate the maritime tale’s debut!

Disney posted a video to capture all of the magical moments! The Little Mermaid follows Ariel as she dreams to escape her limited bubble of reality to explore the human world.

Unfortunately, under the sea, mermaids aren’t allowed to converse with humans. This leads her to make a deal with the sea witch, Ursula, in order to see her dreams come to life.
