Your Weekly Splash Mountain Progress Report
Our MickeyBlogger dropped by Magic Kingdom this afternoon and captured some images to keep us updated on the construction of Splash Mountain in Frontierland.
As you may know, the attraction closed earlier this Spring and will now be reimagined as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
As the name suggests, the new ride, when it reopens, will have a Princess and the Frog theme which was set in the Louisiana Bayou.
Scaffolding now completely surrounds Splash Mountain.
You can also see that the water has been completely drained while Imagineers revamp the ride.
As of going to print Disney has yet to give us an official opening date for the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction.
In the meantime, visitors to the Magic Kingdom can expect a lengthy refurbishment process.
We’ll keep you posted and will let you know as soon as more information is revealed.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further Walt Disney World news and updates. We’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks each and every week.
