A New, Familiar Cup Design Arrives at Joffrey’s Locations
There’s only one thing that beats a hot Joffrey’s on a cold day…. and that’s a cold Joffrey’s on a hot day!
While enjoying a refreshing sip during a park visit this weekend, our MickeyBloggers made a very interesting observation over our order. Interested to hear more? Read on…
After ordering an iced coffee from a Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company location at Epcot, our MickeyBlogger Kayla was surprised to see that the fan-favorite Disney partner brand had switched up their design of plastic cup, replacing the classic, “old” design with this bold, eye-catching creation.
Featuring sharp shapes arranged in loud, colorful patterns, this design was certainly a standout change to the original Joffrey’s cups. However, is anybody else noticing anything familiar about this new design?
If you did recognize the pattern here, you’d be correct!
This is because the cup’s new design perfectly resembles the iconic design of paper cups that have been used at quick service dining locations across Walt Disney World for years. Now that Joffrey’s have adapted to match, all our drinks will be sporting the same uniform going forward – and we love it!
The design itself is famously inspired by the work of legendary Disney artist Mary Blair, whose colorful patterns and shapes inspired so many iconic features across the Disney Parks. Amidst the pattern you can spot icons such as the Monorail, Mickey Ears and more, as well as the signature Walt Disney World logo itself!
One significant difference here however, is that – of course – these cups belong to Joffrey’s. So, while other cups around the parks sport the Coca-Cola logo to advertise Disney’s ongoing partnership with the brand, these cups include the purple Joffrey’s stamp, as well as some cute little coffee bean icons dotted throughout the design.
With the proud slogan “The Official Specialty Coffee of Walt Disney World” emblazoned on the front of the cup, yu’ll always know “who” and “what” it is you’re drinking, that’s for sure!
So far, it’s just the “cold” coffee cups that bare this new design at Joffrey’s, however we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled to see whether the insulated and paper cups follow suit too.
It was the Joffrey’s location over in the World Discovery area of Epcot that Kayla found this cup today, nearby to the Mission: Space attraction. It’s a great spot for a refresher, so we’d always recommend you check it out!
Recent Joffrey’s sips we’ve tried at MickeyBlog include the Savannah Banana Latte at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Mango Peach Refresher at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Legacy Frappe at the Magic Kingdom.
