The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort to Become DVC Resort, Several Changes Revealed
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins are one of the most popular places to stay for big families in Disney World.

The size of the cabins, the price, and the close proximity to Fort Wilderness amenities as well as Magic Kingdom make them an ideal spot, but now things are changing in a BIG way.
News for Fort Wilderness Cabins
Some exciting changes have just been announced for The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort! In addition to becoming a Disney Vacation Club property, all of the cabins will be swapped out for brand-new versions among other updates.

Over 350 of the current cabins will be swapped out for brand-new models. The new cabins have been designed with sustainability in mind and are being constructed “with an eye toward the environment, utilizing the footprint of the existing cabins and taking advantage of more energy-efficient features.”

The resort’s serene and natural setting has inspired the design of the new cabins. Each of the spacious cabins will sleep up to six Guests and also offer one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room, a full kitchen, and a private patio. We are also hearing that some of the cabins will be dog-friendly.

Some of the other updates include a pool, walking trail changes, and new dining experiences. In case you missed it, Trail’s End restaurant recently closed for a refurbishment from table-service dining to quick service.

Once the new Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort have been installed, the resort will be officially known as The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort. Even though it will be a Disney Vacation Club Resort, all Guests will be able to make reservations at the cabins.
