Tokyo Disney Resort Celebrates 40 Magical Years!
Though so much of our attention as of late has been on Disney World’s 100th Anniversary Celebration, there’s another very important milestone happening on the other side of the pond! Tokyo Disney Resort is celebrating 40 magical years and has the distinction of being the first international Disney Park to open four decades ago.
Disney took to social media this weekend to celebrate the milestone:

In the Instagram post above you can see that the celebrations are underway. Mickey and Minnie can be seen wearing their 40th Anniversary costumes. The official name going of the celebration is Dream-Go-Round!
One of the key bits of celebratory merchandise is these stunning multicolored dream garlands. We love the whimsical qualities and pastel hues.
You can see the Dream-Go-Round banners adorning the lampposts at the theme parks.
Disney Eats is also giving us a first look at some of the Tokyo Disney Resort 40th Anniversary eats and treats! I have to be honest, I always get a bit jealous when I see the Tokyo Disney treats and the birthday goodies are no exception. Above is a first look at the Mickey Ukiwa Bun with Chicken.
I really wish I could try the Berry Cheesecake Popcorn! It even comes in delightful Dream-Go-Round containers!
Speaking of popcorn, above is a first look at the Tokyo Disney Resort 40th Dream-Go-Round souvenir popcorn container. It features a wonderful image of Mickey and Minnie and comes with an adjustable shoulder strap.
We agree that everything is better when it’s Mickey-shaped which is why we think that this Tiramisu Doughnut with Almonds.
We also love the sparkly adornments on this Souvenir Drink Marker featuring a festive-looking Mickey!
Disney CEO Bob Iger took to Twitter to wish Tokyo Disney Resort a huge happy birthday. You can check it out below.
