“The Rabbit Hole” Donut is Sure to Raise a Springtime Smile at Everglazed!
As the olde saying goes, there’s just no better way to start a holiday weekend than with a huge, seasonal donut from Disney Springs.
Ok, I may have made that one up. But really, can you think of any better Friday treat than a trip to Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew? Cause I sure can’t!
This beautiful Good Friday, our MickeyBlogger Jessie headed down to Everglazed to check out the two seasonal donuts available on the bakery’s ever-magical menu, and we can’t wait to show you what she found.
This place is known for their ginormous, glorious goodies, and we can always rely on them to go all-out when it comes to special occasions. So, we absolutely couldn’t let Easter weekend pass by without “hopping” on over to take a look!
As you can see from these mouth-watering counter photos, Everglazed has two seasonal Easter donuts stocked for the holiday. The first can be seen above, which is an “Easter Specialty” of chocolate eggs sat atop a fondant nest, sat atop a mountain of purple glaze, sat atop the biggest donut you ever did see. Yum!
However, it was this second donut, hilariously dubbed “The Rabbit Hole” that MickeyBlog ordered today.
Sweet, seasonal, and rather tongue-in-cheek, we absolutely can’t wait to try it out!
As you can see, Everglazed packaged up our order in this clear plastic box, to stop the mountain of decoration from getting squished.
However, this donut isn’t going to stay packed up for long, as we wanted to get it out and give it a try!
And wow, isn’t she cute? This is a huge signature glazed donut, dipped in fondant icing as green as the grass. There are rainbow sprinkles scattered all around it to resemble colorful Easter eggs, but the main feature here is that adorable buttercream bunny, who seems to have gotten himself stuck in a rabbit hole!
Just look at his little tail and feet sticking out! It’s so cute.
Design-wise, it’s very similar to the Coconut Sugar Bunny Cupcake we reviewed earlier this week, that’s available over at the Disney Resorts. After all, who can resist a fluffy little bunny butt? Not us!
I’m sure you’re all as intrigued to hear how this tasted than we were, so I’ll get right to the chase. Jessie reported back to us that this donut was delicious, super fluffy, creamy, and big, as you can see from the photos below!
In terms of flavor, this is a basic vanilla donut, with a vanilla buttercream. So it’s nothing bold or adventurous, but a great, easy flavor that’s hard not to love. Plus, with a design this cute, the donut is irresistible enough as it is!
Everglazed certainly know what they’re doing, don’t they?
The only downside? Just how messy our Jessie’s hands got afterwards! Oops!
If you’d like to enjoy “The Rabbit Hole” donut, be sure to head on down to Everglazed at the West Side of Disney Springs before Easter is out. Be sure to bring napkins, your sweet tooth, and your appetite, and have fun!
