Walking Path Changed Between Disney’s Polynesian and Grand Floridian Resorts
Disney World is almost always doing some kind of construction. It’s a big place, and regular upkeep is necessary, but Disney also loves some new projects.
Right now, there is a new Disney Vacation Club building being built over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, so there has been some areas that look a little different while the work is happening.
One of those things is the walkway between the Polynesian and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
But now, a few changes have been made to help make the walkway a little easier to navigate!
New Resort Walking Path
There is a new route for the Polynesian Village Resort and Grand Floridian Resort walkway! This one feels a lot safer to us as you don’t need to cross the street anymore.
Part of this walkway is still the same.
You start following the sign posted on the path.
Here is the previous path that we had seen before.
And, another look for some context.
Here is where you used to have to cross the street.
There were never any crossing guards, signs, or lights whenever we crossed over here, so this new path is an improvement when it comes to safety!
There is a new path (the black top) so that you can just walk straight through along the construction fence.
It’s a lot more direct!
There is also a small portion of the black asphalt that connects to the Grand Floridian parking lot.
Here’s where it connects.
Before now, you used to have to come through the gate shown below when you crossed back over.
So, this should definitely make walking around these two resorts a little bit easier than before!
