Classic Carrot Cake Crops Up at Disney’s Saratoga Springs
We’ve reviewed a whole crop of Easter treats over the past few days here at MickeyBlog, with so many delicious seasonal specialties to be found right across Walt Disney World.
However, as much as we adore all the unique flavors such as the coconut bunny cupcakes or the tropical-tasting ice-cream nachos, it’s rare to find a classic, unchanged, iconic recipe amidst the menu.
Until now! While enjoying an afternoon stroll around one of our favorite resort hotels, our MickeyBloggers uncovered a perfect Easter dessert that checks all the boxes in our eyes.
A perfect demonstration of classic flavors, simple presentation, and all-round appeal, this adorable Easter treat is sure to have guests “hopping” for more! Intrigued to hear our full review? Well, read on!
What we have here is a classic Carrot Cake, a springtime flavor that’s hard not to adore! This individual-sized cake portion is now on the menu at The Artist’s Palette in Disney’s Saratoga Springs, a colorful quick-service dining location in an irresistible resort location.
We placed our order and received the cake in this plastic to-go case, so we took it outside to enjoy among the lush beauty of this spectacular hotel.
Before we get to talking about the cake itself, we have to note how incredibly adorable this dessert looks! It’s a cupcake-sized portion of carrot cake, topped with swirly frosting and a vibrantly-colored carrot decoration, made from chocolate.
While this dessert isn’t as intricately decorated as other treats we’ve enjoyed this month, it’s still absolutely beautiful and eye-catching. Sometimes, it’s the simplest designs that have the biggest impact!
When it comes to flavor, this really is just a classic carrot cake, topped with cream cheese buttercream. There’s nothing else to it, meaning you really can’t go wrong!
It was our MickeyBlogger Jessie who tried this out for us, and she confirmed it was a great pick. The cake itself was dense, like many moist veg cakes, while the cream creese frosting was thick and delicious.
There may have been a bit too much of this frosting for our tastes, but it was still good and enjoyable!
If you’re on the hunt for a good, classic carrot cake at Walt Disney World, we’d certainly recommend this offering over at Saratoga Springs. It costs $4.79. Will you be giving this treat a try during the Easter season?
