The In-Store Atmosphere is Electric for TRON Opening Day Merchandise!
It’s April 4th, and you know what that means? Why, it’s the official opening day for TRON Lightcycle / Run in the Magic Kingdom!

And, let me tell you, it’s not just the coaster that’s vibing this morning. In fact, an equally electric atmosphere is emitting from over at the Star Traders store in Tomorrowland, where the epic new array of TRON-inspired merchandise has just gone on sale.
It’s so busy and exciting, that a TRON shopping spree to Star Traders is almost an attraction in itself today!
Don’t believe us? Well, let’s take a venture inside the store, and see what’s going on!
Now, at this point, Disney are like a well-oiled machine when it comes to crowd-control and managing expectations for such momentous occasions at the parks. The opening day of the highly-anticipated and long-awaited TRON attraction definitely falls under this category, so you can expect that there’s a lot of traffic heading to Tomorrowland right now.
To help make sure everyone has the most safe, efficient, and enjoyable shopping experience possible, Cast Member stewards were out first thing in the park, directing guests to an orderly line where they can await entry to the store for the “merchandise event.”

In the meantime, however, you can see from our photos that, once you get inside Star Traders, the atmosphere is quite electric.
Even though the traffic is being managed, you can still see that there are high crowds of guests rushing to get their hands on those awesome new merchandise releases, and Cast Members are working hard to make sure everyone is looked after!
If you’re looking to get your hands on some awesome merch in commemoration of the opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run, Star Traders really is the place to go at the Magic Kingdom. However, it is worth a reminder that items will also be released onto shopDisney soon enough, as a handy alternative for those who don’t have a Walt Disney World trip upcoming.
