Disney Announces a Live Action ‘Moana’ is Under Development
During today’s The Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholder meeting, Disney fans everywhere jumped for joy as The Rock announced a live-action version of the hit movie, Moana, which is currently under development!
While few details are known at this time about the movie, The Rock shared the news straight from the beautiful beaches of Hawaii accompanied by his adorable daughters.

The Rock also hinted that he will reprise his role as Maui in the upcoming, live-action edition of Moana. Other stars of the film are yet to be announced.
The announcement of a live-action Moana comes as the much-anticipated Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana is set to open at EPCOT in Walt Disney World later this year.

In addition to Moana, there are several other live-action movies on the docket for Disney in the coming months and years including The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan and Wendy.
