There are a lot of great reasons to visit Disney World this summer. For example, TRON Lightcycle / Run will finally be open for you to ride!
There’s also a brand new restaurant for you to check out — Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios.
But, if you’re still on the fence about visiting Disney World this summer, Disney has shared some other reasons why you should possibly start your planning right away.
Special Hotel Offers

There are also some special deals for Annual Passholders. They can get 30% off of select voyages on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, AKA the Star Wars hotel. Check out the details here.
And, there are deals for Florida residents as well! They can save up to 30% at select hotels this summer — find out more right here.
Extra Time in the Parks
If you stay at a Disney World hotel this summer, you will have access to some perks that will give you extra time in the theme parks. All Disney hotel guests can get into the theme parks 30 minutes before opening each day with Early Theme Park Entry.
Also, if you’re staying at a Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort hotel, you can use Extended Evening Hours in select parks on select nights. This will give you 2 extra hours in the parks after they’ve closed to regular guests!
This perk is much appreciated during the summer months when that daytime heat can be overwhelming. Spend more time in the parks at night when it’s cooler!
Free Parking
Disney hotel guests no longer have to pay for overnight self-parking! It’s included with your stay.
This was recently changed by Disney, as guests used to have to pay extra for parking at the hotel they were staying at.
Also remember that if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you have access to a variety of free transportation services. You can use the buses, monorails, boats, and the Disney Skyliner.
