BREAKING: WDW Resort Hotel Guests Get FREE Parking Starting NOW
Starting today, January 10, 2023, Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests get FREE PARKING! This is huge! As usual, Scott Gustin is on top of things:
In a letter from Josh D’Amaro, he announced a lot of great things (changes to Genie+, and more)
Guests will now be able to get more out of each visit to Walt Disney World, including complimentary self-parking for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels beginning this evening, January 10!
Previously, all guests have had to pay an overnight parking fee at resort hotels. This has been an extremely unpopular fee mostly because it’s always added to your room charges, so you’ve had to pay it at the end of your stay.
For Value resorts (Pop, Ft. Wilderness, All Star Resorts), this was a $15 per night fee. No small cost.
For Moderates like Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Port Orleans Riverside, this was a $20/night fee. That’s $140 for a 7-night stay!
And of course, Deluxe and Deluxe Villas have had a $25 per night fee.
This has been in place since 2018, and it’s been a thorn in all our sides. Disney even raised parking fees after enacting this wildly unpopular tax upon us. Guests have raged against the Disney Machine since March 21, 2018 and we’ve finally gotten our wish.
Starting TODAY! (that means YOU if you’re at a Disney resort now!), Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests get FREE parking!
