Two NEW Items Arrive at Leaning Palms in Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon water park just reopened at Disney World! The park has been closed for refurbishment since November.
We’ve been in the park checking everything out, from the pools to the attractions to the new snacks. So, come along with us to try one of the dining locations at Typhoon Lagoon!
Leaning Palms
Leaning Palms is a quick service restaurant located near the front of Typhoon Lagoon. Also connected to the building is the First Aid station.
On the menu, you can find things like a chicken sandwich, a rice bowl, a couple burgers, and more.
There are also fun drinks available, like these frozen Kowabunga Lemonades.
We found some new eats, so let’s check them out!

Barbecued Chicken and Grilled Pineapple Flatbread
The Barbecued Chicken and Grilled Pineapple Flatbread is a new menu item over at Leaning Palms, so we figured we’d try it out! This is a flatbread with homemade barbecue grilled chicken and roasted pineapple, red onions, and cilantro with tomato sauce and mozzarella for $11.49.
This flatbread was good, but it was nothing exceptional. The chicken was cooked well, though.
The pineapple did help add a little bit of sweetness to the flatbread and it worked well with the BBQ sauce.

We do think the pineapple could have been cooked a little more because some pieces still had a bit of a crunch to them.
This flatbread is a nice option here if you want something besides a burger and fries.
This is also a good spot to visit if you have kids that don’t like seafood (which can be found at a lot of other locations in the park), because they do have a lot of options.
Kowabunga Lemonade
The Kowabunga Lemonade is also a new item for $5.99. This is a frozen lemonade and it can come with your choice of flavored syrup. You can also get it with Tito’s Vodka for $15.50.
Although the sign only gives you the choices between passionfruit and watermelon, there are actually other options! When we ordered, the Cast Member offered us a lot of other flavor choices, so we chose strawberry!
If they don’t mention this when you order, you can always ask about other options. Also note that this drink is not available through Mobile Order like a lot of the other food here.
Our frozen strawberry lemonade was very tasty! It had a great tartness to it.
This lemonade has replaced the previous ones on the menu, which we’re guessing was the Tropical Storm and Tropical Hurricane lemonades. Note that these old ones are still listed on the menu, but they are not available through mobile order.
The Kowabunga Lemonade seems to have more lemon flavor to it, so it’s definitely a step up!
Overall, Leaning Palms is a good lunch option in Typhoon Lagoon if you want variety while still having some classic theme park choices.
