Why Dole Whip Fans Should Go to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon water park has reopened in Disney World and we’re in the park checking everything out!
The park has been closed since November for refurbishments, and today is the first day it’s open for 2023. We’ve taken a look around and found some delicious treats to try over at Typhoon Tilly’s.
One is an old favorite, while two of them are new! So, come along with us to check them out.
Dole Whip Treats
Hei Hei Cone
First, we got the iconic Hei Hei Cone! This is Dole Whip pineapple and raspberry soft-serve in a blue cone with some candy pieces to resemble Hei Hei for $5.99.
This was delicious as always! The Dole Whip was the standard flavors we’ve seen before and taste as great as usual.
The blue cone was crisp and didn’t get soggy. But, it did turn our reporter’s mouth slightly blue, so watch out for that!
The sugar eyes and candy on top make this treat come together visually, but we wouldn’t necessarily recommend eating the eyes because they were kind of hard to bite. The sour candy strip was good, though!
This is just an all around cute and delicious treat. It’s great for kids and adults alike!

Moana Cone
Next, we tried the new Moana Cone! This is Dole Whip strawberry and vanilla soft-serve in a white chocolate coconut-dipped waffle cone for $5.99. It replaced the former Motunui Cone.
This cone is also so fun to look at! Just look at Moana and that beautiful flower on top of the Dole Whip.
There was more vanilla than strawberry in this one, but it was very creamy and tasty.
But, this treat did melt quicker than the Hei Hei cone (probably due to the soft-serve). Make sure you grab some napkins!
The cone was also delicious with the coconut shavings coating the outside.
The Moana medallion on top is made of white chocolate, which tastes just like your regular white chocolate.
And, the flower is edible, but we didn’t end up eating it because they aren’t really known for being flavorful. We do love it as a garnish, though!

Kungaloosh Kooler
Finally, we got the brand new Kungaloosh Kooler! This is Dole Whip strawberry with a blend of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Myers’s Original Dark Rum, Bols Blackberry Brandy Liqueur, Minute Maid Orange Juice, and a splash of Fanta Strawberry for $15.50.
if you’re a big Disney fan, you’ve probably heard the word Kungaloosh before, so this one is for you! Before we even get to the treat, we just gotta appreciate the name because it’s so fun to say.
This treat is soooo good! It’s creamy from the Dole Whip, with the Fanta and alcohol giving it a nice bite to balance things out.
It is sweet, but there is enough tartness there so it’s not overwhelming.
This is also a great option for those typical hot days at the water parks because it’s very refreshing!

The portion size is a little small for what you get, but we can look past that because it’s very tasty.
You can check out the rest of our trip to Typhoon Lagoon for its reopening right here. Stay tuned for more news and updates!
