We’re at the Reopening of Typhoon Lagoon in Disney World!
Disney World’s theme parks have a LOT going on, from rides to food to entertainment, but there are other fun places to visit besides the theme parks. For example, you can spend time at Disney World’s water parks!
There are two water parks at Disney World — Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Since the pandemic began back in 2020, the two parks have never been open at the same time. They’ve been alternating schedules.
Typhoon Lagoon closed down back in November, with only Blizzard Beach open. Typhoon Lagoon was scheduled to reopen on March 19th, but the plans were delayed, likely due to colder weather (it was so cold in Disney World yesterday that they were selling hot chocolate!).
But now, the water park has finally reopened, and we’re taking you along with us as we check everything out!
Typhoon Lagoon Reopening
Typhoon Lagoon is open again in Disney World! The park reopened today and its hours are from 10AM to 6PM.
The water park has been closed since November for refurbishment. So, let’s go check out what the park is looking like now!
Inside the Park
We arrived at Typhoon Lagoon this morning and were greeted by that giant welcome sign hanging off of a ship mast!
The entrance to the park also has ticket booth stations. As you can see, ticket prices for 1 day are $69 for ages 10+ and $63 for kids 3-9. For a 1-day ticket with block-out dates, tickets are $64 for ages 10+ and $58 for kids 3-9.
Once inside, you’ll notice the usual fun surfing theming!
The wave conditions are “surf’s up” for the day.
You can also see a large sign with the hours for the day and the rules of the park.
You can also find maps of Typhoon Lagoon at the entrance, as well as around the park.
Walking further into the park, we caught our first glimpse of Miss Tilly!
What a beautiful sight to see in the morning!

You can also find a smaller map of the park…
…as well as a larger one.
The theming around the area has a lot of shipwrecks, like this washed up shrimp boat.
Following the map, you can find some dressing rooms…
…as well as lockers to store your valuables. Do note that you do have to pay to use the lockers.
Here’s a better look at the lockers area!
You can use the kiosks in the area to pay for the lockers.
There’s also a foot washing station in the park to wash off your feet if they get dirty or sandy!
Inside the park on the way to the wave pool, you’ll also see this collection of signs that show you any special events going on, as well as the park hours for all of the Disney World parks.
There are also some signs featuring the weather conditions!
You can find signs around the park that will show you places to go, like this one that includes slides, play areas, and a restaurant.
Typhoon Lagoon has a wave pool…
…along with a quieter pool.
In the background of the quiet pool, you can see Crush ‘n’ Gusher, which is a water slide roller coaster hybrid!
Other attractions include Miss Adventure Falls…
…and the lazy river, which is called Castaway Creek.
Here’s another look!

Food at Typhoon Lagoon
If you’re hungry, there are several options at the park! You can check out Typhoon Tilly’s for some food and drinks.
On the menu, you’ll find things like chicken fingers, shrimp lettuce wraps, a salad, and fish tacos.
There are also a lot drinks and desserts over here, like draft beer…

Let’s move over to Surf Doggies!
Here you can get a few different hot dogs and a Mickey pretzel.
Thirsty? Check out Let’s Go Slurpin’ — a bar near the wave pool.
You’ll find all kinds of beachy drinks over here!
And, if you want those classic mini donuts, you can get those in the park, too! Check out our review of them right here.

Typhoon Lagoon Merchandise
There are merchandise locations around the park as well.
If you’re looking for some new goggles or forgot your swimsuit at home, you can grab what you need at Singapore Sal’s for souvenirs.
In here you can find Typhoon Lagoon merchandise as well.
Stitch makes a lot of appearances!
There’s even merch themed to specific attractions at Typhoon Lagoon, like Crush ‘n’ Gusher!
We also wanted to show you some merchandise exclusive to Typhoon Lagoon, like this Typhoon Tilly sipper.
This is $23.95 after tax and comes with a drink and refills all day!
Stay tuned as we bring you more from Typhoon Lagoon!
Do note that now that Typhoon Lagoon is open, Blizzard Beach is closed again, so you only have one water park option available. We’ll let you know if we find out anything about Blizzard Beach reopening, so stay tuned!
