Orlando International Airport Had Busiest Day In History on Saturday, March 11
Orlando International Airport had its busiest day ever on Saturday, March 11th. You can thank the spring break crowds all traveling to Florida for that!
Between Disney World, Universal Parks, and the other fun locations in Florida, it’s no wonder it was so busy over the weekend.
Officials announced that nearly 95,287 passengers traveled through MCO on Saturday. Sunday had around 93,000 passengers. The previous record was back in 2019 with 90,000 passengers.
“We expected and prepared for the historic levels of passenger traffic we are seeing this Spring Break season,” said Kevin Thibault, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Chief Executive Officer. “Our success in attracting a record number of guests is a testament to the popularity of our world-class destination and the efforts of airport staff to deliver the highest level of customer service.”
If you are traveling during Spring Break, make sure to pack your patience!
