Exciting Progress Seen at TRON Snack Stand at Magic Kingdom
As the highly-anticipated opening date for TRON: Lightcycle Run speeds ever-closer, our MickeyBloggers are avidly watching the coaster’s corner in the Magic Kingdom for any exciting updates!
Today, while enjoying a ride on the People Mover, we spotted some exciting activity happening over at a newly-built structure just outside the ride’s canopy. Let’s take closer look into the grid together, and check it out…
Can you see that small gray building in the photos, tucked away amidst all that TRON newness? That there is a brand-new concession stand, that looks like it’s deep in preparations for the attraction’s opening!
The unusually-shaped building blends in with the unique vibe of TRON’s cool canopy perfectly, with its slate-gray shades and curved, dramatic lines. However, despite previews for TRON being active for a few weeks now, this store seems to be waiting until the ride’s official debut before opening for service.
So, when we saw the building’s doors flung open and materials being carted in and out of the building earlier today, we knew we had to snap some photos to share with you all!
Based on the building, with those sliding service windows, plentiful ventilation, and spacious back area, it’s fair to assume that this is going to be a snack stand for guests, probably serving items such as water and light bites for guests to fuel up on as they wait for their ride.
However, whether the booth will also sell attraction-branded merchandise or perhaps on-ride photos too remains to be seen.
After all, we still don’t know for sure what’s happening with the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. store next door, which has been under refurbishment for a long while now!
Behind these beautiful pink flowers, we can see various materials and equipment being moved in to the building, but nothing clearly identifiable just yet.
As always, be sure to stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com for all the latest exciting TRON updates from the Magic Kingdom, and more!
